Mr. Kenneth W. Guild, Sr., 77, of 204 Friendship Avenue, died Thursday, January 7, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manchester.

Born on August 14, 1932 in Manchester, he was the son of Walter and Rose Alma (Briere) Guild.  He lived in Pembroke for the past 12 years, having spent most of his life as a Manchester resident.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and had also served in the Coast Guard.  He was a member of the 40-8, the Merrill Follansbee American Legion Post #37 in Hooksett, and a former member of the Jutras Post #79 in Manchester.

Mr. Guild had been employed as operations manager for Bradlees Department Store in Nashua and had enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

In his life he was the widower of Juliette (Berlinguette) Guild who died in 1999 and is survived by 3 sons, Richard Guild and his wife Barbara of Epsom, Walter Guild, Sr. and his wife Tracy of Hillsboro, and Kenneth Guild, Jr. of Albany, NY; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Violet Madden and her husband Thomas of Manchester.
