Mrs. Shirley J. (L’Heureux) Beauchemin, 74, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Concord Hospital.

Born in Manchester on March 26, 1935, Shirley was the daughter of Philippe and Marianne (Cyr) L’Heureux.  Before retiring to Concord, Mrs. Beauchemin had also lived in Manchester, Allenstown, and Pembroke, and had spent many winters in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Shirley had been employed as a mail handler for Liberty Mutual and had also worked for McDonald’s.

Until recent years she had spent many happy summers camping, which she loved.  She also enjoyed her family, reading, and music.

She was the widow of Rene Beauchemin who died in 2003 and to whom she had been married 55 years.  She leaves 3 children, Karen Thibeault of Concord, Michael Beauchemin of Dorchester, MA, and Jay Beauchemin of Boscawen; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Germaine Dube of Florida. Another sister, Carmen L’Heureux., predeceased her.
